Antonio Burnished

Tradition: Antonio Utilitarian
Group: Antonio
Type: Antonio Burnished
Variety: Antonio
Phase: Predominately Early/Late Acbi, with a few from Late Bijac and Early Coner

Large bowls are the most common form, but there is also a large amount of comales, braziers, and necked vessels. Antonio ceramics tend to be rather thin, thickening at the rims. The interior and exterior are normally dark-brown to dark-red in color. The exterior is burnished and smooth while the interior is burnished around the rim, but tends to be rough beneath.
